First Church's Updates

Weekly Update for First Church of the Brethren, June 22, 2026

Revelation 22:6 – “These words are faithful and true”

The words of this scripture were spoken to John by an angel as part of the vision of “things that must take place soon.”    But they can also say to be true of the rest of God’s words to us through scripture.

Imagine not be able to trust what anyone says.  Imagine a world in which no one keeps promises.   But God’s word CAN be trusted!   God’s promises are the rock we stand on to help get us through this life…and into eternity!

– Pastor Dave

Happy Father's Day! 💙

Today we celebrate and honor all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who have shared their love, wisdom, strength, and faith with others.

We give thanks for the many ways fathers nurture, encourage, and guide their families, reflecting God's love through their care and devotion. Whether through quiet acts of service, words of encouragement, or steadfast support, fathers make a lasting impact on the lives of those around them.
