First Church's Updates

Weekly Update for First Church of the Brethren, March 16, 2026

I Peter 3 “15 b      “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”

Maybe the first question to answer should really be “Do you actually have hope?”     Hope that spring is coming?  Hope that things will work out in this world?   Hope that things will get even better in the next world?      Knowing where that hope comes from strengthens us.   It hardens our resolve to wait and persevere.  It encourages us to keep heading toward it when things are tough and the nights are long.    And of course, when we know that our hope is in Jesus Christ, it is exactly that kind of faith that pleases Him!

– Pastor Dave
