First Church's Updates
Weekly Update for First Church of the Brethren, March 30, 2026
Matthew 28:6
“He is not here; for He is risen”
Has anyone ever told you such great news that it took a couple seconds to wrap your head around it? Imagine what Mary Magdeline and the others were trying to get straight in their minds when they went to the tomb that first Easter morning and found it empty. But subsequent scriptures tell us they hurried to tell the disciples “…with joy.” That’s the way it is with faith and hope. We don’t have to understand all the time, we just need to respond to what Jesus expects of us and be amazed at what he has done, is doing, and will do.
