First Church's Updates
Weekly Update for First Church of the Brethren, February 23, 2026
Genesis 12:2
2 “I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
Of course, this is Gods promise to Abram when He called him to a new land. But, there is a lot of truth here for us as well when we obey what God and His Son call us to do. Have you been blessed by being a Christian? Of course you have. Need to be reminded of how many ways and times? Need to be reminded of what future blessings are coming?
Have you been able to be a blessing to others? Of course you have. Need to be encouraged by examples of how your role model, your service and your witness have blessed others? Or is it enough to know “the Bible says it, so it must be true?”
– Pastor Dave
